Our Story
Built in the 1930's in the middle of the Motor Lodge Era, the Silver Maple Inn was originally a motor lodge. But as times changed so have we. In the middle of Historic Bridgeport, CA on Main Street, USA our accommodations meet every travelers needs.
We offer visitors an affordable lodging choice in a serene and relaxing setting. This is the ideal location for a family outing or a romantic getaway.
We are close to fishing lakes, streams, hiking trails, restaurants, shopping and beautiful scenery. The fall is especially colorful.
The facility is centrally located in historic Bridgeport next to the Mono County Courthouse and was built in 1880.
The Silver Maple Inn has a park-like setting, perfect for relaxing after a day of fishing, horseback riding, hiking and other activities. Bridgeport is nested in a Big Meadow, in the Heart of the Eastern Sierra.
Come and enjoy the quiet serenity and beautiful views of the Sawtooth Range in the High Sierras. Visit the Mono County Museum and one of California's State Parks, the old ghost town of Bodie. Drive just down the summit to view the most spectacular lake in California, Mono Lake. It's one of the most photographed lakes in the world, thanks to Ansel Adams.
We are a “Trailside Inn”, with the Pacific Crest Trail Assoc. We cater to hikers on their journey traveling along the trail. Come down and stay overnight with a soft pillow and a warm bed at the Inn while they post their journey in our PCTA Diary and pickup their mail at the front office.
We are open from the end of April thru October. Reservations are accepted year round.

Testimonials
Very nice B&B. Period house with beautifully furnished period rooms. Some rooms have private outside sitting area. But the house is surrounded by nice lawns with plenty of chairs & tables. A nice breakfast. Kind receptionist and kind help at breakfast.
My husband and I were there last fall. We had driven there to see the fall foliage at Virginia and Twin Lakes. The front porch and front parlor were serene and we enjoyed visiting with other guests. The breakfast was wonderful and the room was cozy, clean and quiet.
This is a nice quiet place to stay in Bridgeport. The rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but had everything you need. I would stay there again. Breakfast was good and located in an historic house on the property.
Perfect little place in the cutest of little towns, not shiny and new, but perfectly clean and well-kept, exceedingly friendly people. If you are a runner, go for a morning run with Erinn, the owner, who showed us the most beautiful places around this idyllic little town. Thanks so much, Erinn, we loved it!!
The Breakfast there was amazing and the people where super friendly. The rooms are e bit old but nicely cleaned. They gave us a good price and they didn't mind that we were 4 people in a 2 bed room. It's the best place to stay in bridgeport.
